Beres Hammond & Buju Banton Deliver Magic at Intimate Jamaica Concert, Set to Headline Miami’s Best of the Best

On January 4, 2025, reggae legends Beres Hammond and Buju Banton co-headlined the second staging of the Intimate Concert at Plantation Cove in St. Ann, Jamaica.
The event also featured performances by Marcia Griffiths, Romain Virgo, Wayne Wonder, Bugle, and Empress Ayeola, delivering a night rich with reggae and dancehall music.
Beres Hammond opened his set around 12:27 am, captivating the audience with classics like “She Loves Me Now,” “What One Dance Can Do,” and “Love Means Never To Say I’m Sorry.”
Buju Banton followed with an energetic performance, delivering hits such as “Destiny,” “Champion,” and “Wanna Be Loved.”
The duo also shared the stage for their collaborations “Pull Up” and “Who Say,” much to the delight of fans.
Despite efforts to improve logistics from the inaugural event, attendees faced significant traffic congestion, with some patrons still arriving at the venue as late as 11 p.m.
Buju Banton addressed the issue during his set, urging authorities to enhance infrastructure to support such large gatherings.
Looking ahead, Beres Hammond and Buju Banton are set to headline the Best of the Best Concert in Miami, marking their first joint performance in the United States in over 15 years.
The festival, renowned for its diverse lineup of reggae, dancehall, rap, and soca artists, offers a 10-hour cultural experience complete with Caribbean cuisine and vibrant cultural displays.
Early bird tickets are currently available, and children under 12 can attend for free with an accompanying adult.
